Mumbai: 14 Feet Houses Spark Political Debate

Political parties in Mumbai are raising concerns over constructions exceeding 14 feet in height. The Congress party has demanded that affected families be resettled through redevelopment before any action is taken. The Shiv Sena UBT has accused the government of intimidating poor and middle-class families, stating they do not support illegal construction but oppose actions that cause fear. Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawade assured that the ruling Mahayuti government aims to protect homes, not demolish them, and will address the issue in the BMC house.

मुंबई में 14 फीट से ऊंचे निर्माण को लेकर राजनीतिक दल चिंता जता रहे हैं। कांग्रेस पार्टी ने मांग की है कि कोई भी कार्रवाई करने से पहले प्रभावित परिवारों का पुनर्वास रीडेवलपमेंट के ज़रिए किया जाए। वहीं, शिवसेना (यूबीटी) ने सरकार पर गरीब और मध्यम वर्ग के परिवारों को डराने का आरोप लगाया है, उन्होंने कहा कि वे अवैध निर्माण का समर्थन नहीं करते लेकिन डर पैदा करने वाली कार्रवाई का विरोध करते हैं। मुंबई की मेयर रितु तवडे ने आश्वासन दिया कि सत्ताधारी महायुति सरकार का लक्ष्य घरों को बचाना है, तोड़ना नहीं, और इस मुद्दे को बीएमसी सदन में उठाया जाएगा।
