Hungary amends anti-LGBTQ law to meet EU standards

Hungary's government has submitted a bill to parliament to amend its 2021 anti-LGBTQ rules for minors. The law, which banned the promotion of homosexuality to under-18s and was used to ban Pride marches, faced criticism from EU leaders. The new bill removes references to "promotion" or "display" of homosexuality and gender transition, instead focusing on material that could seriously impair a child's development.
