Residents of 22 homes on Minneapolis' Nicollet Island, who were unaware their homes were listed for sale, have formed a cooperative to purchase the properties together. The Twin Cities Housing Development Corporation, a nonprofit, listed the six historic Victorian houses, comprising 22 rental units including five for low-income households, on September 10, 2026. The residents, including artists, healers, and social workers, legally established the Nicollet Island Cooperative in August to collectively buy the houses.
