Times of India · india
The Kangra administration in Himachal Pradesh has suspended all solo paragliding flights at Bir Billing following the death of a Bulgarian pilot and the rescue of four others in separate incidents. Baijnath sub-divisional officer Sankalp Gautam cited strong winds, rainfall, and poor visibility as major threats to pilot safety. The suspension order, however, allows tandem paragliding to continue. This decision has drawn objections from foreign pilots who had invested significantly in their travel to the location.
