Basavaraj Bommai Urges Early Decision on Sugarcane Prices

Former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP leader Basavaraj Bommai has called on the State government to promptly announce the State Advised Price (SAP) for sugarcane. He also advocated for the creation of a permanent formula for price fixation, developed in consultation with farmers and sugar factories. Bommai suggested forming a technical committee with farmer and factory representatives to ensure transparent pricing mechanisms based on laboratory tests for sugar recovery rates and weight assessment. Additionally, he urged the government to prevent sugarcane diversion to neighbouring states.

कर्नाटक के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और बीजेपी नेता बसवरज बोम्मई ने राज्य सरकार से गन्ने के लिए राज्य द्वारा सलाह दी गई कीमत (SAP) की तुरंत घोषणा करने को कहा है। उन्होंने किसानों और चीनी कारखानों के साथ मिलकर कीमत तय करने के लिए एक स्थायी फॉर्मूला बनाने की भी वकालत की। बोम्मई ने चीनी रिकवरी दरों और वजन के मूल्यांकन के लिए प्रयोगशाला परीक्षणों के आधार पर पारदर्शी मूल्य निर्धारण तंत्र सुनिश्चित करने के लिए किसान और कारखाना प्रतिनिधियों के साथ एक तकनीकी समिति बनाने का सुझाव दिया। इसके अतिरिक्त, उन्होंने सरकार से गन्ने को पड़ोसी राज्यों में जाने से रोकने का आग्रह किया।
