Norway's Sovereign Wealth Fund Loses $30 Billion in Q3

Hindustan Times · stocks

Norway's sovereign wealth fund, the world's largest, reported a loss of nearly $30 billion in the third quarter. This decline was primarily driven by falling bond returns, which experienced a negative return of 3.5% due to rising interest rates. While stock investments yielded a small positive return of 0.5%, it was insufficient to offset the bond losses. The fund, valued at approximately $2.3 trillion, holds significant investments across global equities and fixed-income assets.
