Cyber fraudsters dupe Ahmedabad residents

Cybercriminals in Ahmedabad have defrauded two individuals of over Rs 20 lakh using distinct online scams. In one incident, a family lost Rs 12.3 lakh after being promised high returns on a work-from-home scheme involving credit card purchases. The fraudsters initially paid commissions but later vanished, leaving the family with loan liabilities. In a separate case, a businessman was duped of Rs 8.3 lakh by scammers posing as gas company officials who used a fake disconnection notice and online forms to steal his financial details.

अहमदाबाद में साइबर ठगों ने दो लोगों से 20 लाख रुपये से ज़्यादा ठग लिए। एक परिवार से वर्क-फ्रॉम-होम स्कीम के बहाने 12.3 लाख रुपये ऐंठ लिए गए, जिसमें क्रेडिट कार्ड से खरीदारी कर ज़्यादा मुनाफे का लालच दिया गया था। शुरू में कमीशन मिला, फिर ठग गायब हो गए और परिवार पर लोन का बोझ आ गया। दूसरी घटना में, एक व्यापारी से गैस कंपनी का अधिकारी बनकर 8.3 लाख रुपये ठगे गए।
