HSPCB Forms Teams to Inspect Sewage Treatment Plants in Gurugram Societies

The Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) has established four teams to inspect sewage treatment plants (STPs) across 72 residential societies in north Gurugram. These teams will verify the operational status of the plants and ensure proper wastewater treatment. The inspections aim to identify poorly maintained or defunct facilities that could discharge untreated wastewater, posing environmental and public health risks. Based on the findings over the coming weeks, recommendations will be sent to headquarters for potential penalties or environmental compensation for defaulters.

हरियाणा स्टेट पॉल्यूशन कंट्रोल बोर्ड (HSPCB) ने उत्तर गुरुग्राम की 72 रिहायशी सोसायटियों में सीवेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट (STP) के निरीक्षण के लिए चार टीमें बनाई हैं। ये टीमें प्लांट की चालू स्थिति की जांच करेंगी और सुनिश्चित करेंगी कि सीवेज का सही से उपचार हो रहा है। इन निरीक्षणों का मकसद खराब रखरखाव वाले या बंद पड़े प्लांटों का पता लगाना है जो बिना उपचार वाले सीवेज को छोड़ सकते हैं, जिससे पर्यावरण और सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य को खतरा हो सकता है। आने वाले हफ्तों में मिलने वाले नतीजों के आधार पर, मुख्यालय को डिफॉल्टरों के लिए संभावित जुर्माने या पर्यावरण मुआवजे के लिए सिफारिशें भेजी जाएंगी।
