The Telangana Commission for Backward Classes will conduct field visits to study innovative practices for modernising traditional occupations within BC communities. The aim is to create sustainable income opportunities for those dependent on these livelihoods. This decision was made during a meeting with officials from various caste corporations and federations. Discussions focused on upgrading caste-based occupations, improving their economic viability, and identifying measures for sustainable livelihoods. The commission plans to examine successful models within Telangana, other Indian states, and potentially internationally to adapt them locally.
