Himachal Governor Stresses Preserving Heritage and Environment

Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta has called for collective action to preserve the state's cultural heritage, natural resources, and traditional way of life. Speaking at the inauguration of a theatre festival in Shimla, he emphasized connecting younger generations with rich cultural traditions. The governor highlighted a play that addressed environmental degradation, cultural erosion, and youth drug abuse. He urged people to protect forests and rivers, promote local languages, and celebrate traditional festivals, aligning with Prime Minister Modi's vision of 'Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi'.

हिमाचल प्रदेश के राज्यपाल, कव‍िंदर गुप्‍ता ने राज्‍य की सांस्‍कृतिक विरासत, प्राकृतिक संसाधनों और पारंपरिक जीवन शैली को बचाने के लिए सामूहिक कार्रवाई का आह्वान किया है। शिमला में एक थिएटर फेस्टिवल के उद्घाटन के मौके पर बोलते हुए, उन्‍होंने युवा पीढ़ी को समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक परंपराओं से जोड़ने पर जोर दिया। राज्यपाल ने एक ऐसे नाटक पर प्रकाश डाला जो पर्यावरणीय क्षरण, सांस्कृतिक क्षरण और युवाओं में नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग जैसे मुद्दों को संबोधित करता था। उन्‍होंने लोगों से जंगलों और नदियों की रक्षा करने, स्‍थानीय भाषाओं को बढ़ावा देने और पारंपरिक त्योहारों को मनाने का आग्रह किया, जो प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के 'विकास भी, विरासत भी' के दृष्टिकोण के अनुरूप है।
