Meta's Net Income Soars 264% To $9.86 Billion In Q3
Times of India · business
Meta Platforms reported a significant surge in net income for the third quarter, jumping 264% year-on-year to $9.86 billion, driven by increased advertising revenue. Despite a 26% rise in overall revenue to $64.60 billion, operating income fell 37% due to a substantial $9.89 billion legal charge. This charge was related to litigation concerning teen mental health and social media. Excluding this one-time expense, operating income would have been considerably higher. The company anticipates fourth-quarter revenue between $73 billion and $76 billion, and is increasing investments in AI infrastructure.
