BJP state spokesperson Kishor Kumar Bhattacharyya stated that the incident was likely due to internal conflicts within the Congress party. He cited recurring factional rivalries and alleged that former MLA Rakibul Hussain treated the constituency as his personal domain, contributing to such confrontations.
