Goregaon Toilet Deaths: Metal Plating Unit Booked For Storing Hazardous Substances

Mumbai police have registered an FIR against a metal plating unit, SS Enterprises, for allegedly storing and using acid and other hazardous substances without permissions. This action follows the deaths of two young men who inhaled poisonous gas that leaked from underground chambers at the unit into an adjoining public toilet. The FIR is registered under sections dealing with negligent conduct involving combustible substances and prohibitions on carrying corrosive materials. Police have arrested one individual and are searching for the unit's operator.
