Female-led films struggle at box office, says Radhika Apte

TV9 Hindi · entertainment

Actress Radhika Apte has expressed her dissatisfaction with the box office performance of female-led films. She stated that unless actresses like Deepika Padukone or Alia Bhatt are in the lead, audiences often show less interest in such movies. Apte believes that the lack of audience enthusiasm for films without major female stars leads to the necessity of casting male actors to generate excitement. She emphasized that even critically acclaimed films with strong performances struggle to achieve satisfactory box office results if they lack prominent female leads.
