Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will convene a meeting on October 12 to assess the effects of El Nino and the current rainfall deficit. The discussion will focus on relief measures for farmers, addressing water shortages, and managing increased power demand. Telangana has experienced 17% less rainfall than normal, leading to drought-like conditions in approximately 235 mandals. The state government has urged the central government to declare these mandals drought-affected and provide financial assistance, including a requested Rs. 20,000 crore special package.

तेलंगाना के मुख्यमंत्री ए. रेवंत रेड्डी 12 अक्टूबर को एल नीनो के असर और मौजूदा बारिश की कमी का जायजा लेने के लिए एक बैठक करेंगे। चर्चा किसानों के लिए राहत उपायों, पानी की कमी को दूर करने और बिजली की बढ़ी हुई मांग को प्रबंधित करने पर केंद्रित होगी। तेलंगाना में सामान्य से 17% कम बारिश हुई है, जिससे लगभग 235 मंडलों में सूखे जैसे हालात पैदा हो गए हैं। राज्य सरकार ने केंद्र सरकार से इन मंडलों को सूखा प्रभावित घोषित करने और वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करने का आग्रह किया है, जिसमें 20,000 करोड़ रुपये के विशेष पैकेज का अनुरोध भी शामिल है।
