This directive follows the tragic deaths of six mothers in the district between January and June 2026. The Collector reviewed these cases, which occurred across several urban and primary health centres, emphasizing the need for detailed case histories and reporting from private hospitals.

विशाखापत्तनम जिला कलेक्टर अभिषिक्त किशोर ने स्वास्थ्य अधिकारियों को उच्च जोखिम वाली गर्भावस्था की निगरानी बढ़ाने और तत्काल रेफरल सुनिश्चित करने का निर्देश दिया है। यह निर्देश जनवरी से जून 2026 के बीच जिले में छह माताओं की दुखद मौतों के बाद आया है। कलेक्टर ने कई शहरी और प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में हुई इन मौतों की समीक्षा की, और निजी अस्पतालों से विस्तृत केस हिस्ट्री और रिपोर्टिंग की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया।
