India's Graduate Labour Participation Rate Hits Five-Year Low

Business Standard · business

India's graduate labour participation rate has fallen to a five-year low as of September, according to data from the CMIE. This decline occurred because the educated population increased at a faster pace than the availability of jobs. Concurrently, fewer graduates were actively seeking employment opportunities. The trend indicates a growing challenge in absorbing the expanding pool of educated individuals into the workforce.
