Italian Town Rebuilds School Using Demolition Waste

An Italian town is constructing a new primary school designed to reuse approximately 70% of its old building's demolition waste. The project in Castel Madama, named ‘New School: Innovation, Inclusion’, will also incorporate rainwater harvesting and groundwater collection systems. The building is designed as a Nearly Zero Energy Building, aiming for over 20% less energy consumption than standards, featuring solar panels, high-performance insulation, and natural, low-carbon materials. This initiative aims to create a sustainable, modern learning environment and community space.

इटली के कैस्टेल मैडामा शहर में एक नया प्राइमरी स्कूल बन रहा है। इसे पुराने स्कूल की तोड़-फोड़ से निकले 70% सामान का इस्तेमाल करके बनाया जा रहा है। इस प्रोजेक्ट का नाम ‘न्यू स्कूल: इनोवेशन, इन्क्लूजन’ है। इसमें बारिश के पानी को जमा करने और ज़मीन के नीचे के पानी को इस्तेमाल करने की व्यवस्था भी होगी। यह स्कूल लगभग ज़ीरो एनर्जी बिल्डिंग होगा, जो सामान्य से 20% कम ऊर्जा इस्तेमाल करेगा।
