The Hindu · india

Delhi Police has issued seven separate prohibitive orders under Section 163 BNSS, restricting free movement in key capital zones for up to 60 days. These orders were passed ex-parte, meaning without hearing objections, citing potential obstruction to traffic and disturbance of public tranquility. The restrictions were imposed in areas like Connaught Place, Parliament Street, and Chanakya Puri, which house vital installations. This action comes in response to recent protests and concerns over maintaining public order and safety in the national capital.
