Italian tyre giant Pirelli has partnered with Indian company BKT to expand its business in India's rapidly growing car market. Under the agreement, BKT will manufacture up to 8 lakh Pirelli-branded premium car tyres at a new plant by 2030, adhering to Pirelli's technical standards. This collaboration aims to leverage India's projected 5-7% annual car registration growth and a potential five-fold increase in the premium tyre market by 2030. The partnership will strengthen Pirelli's presence and allow BKT to enter the passenger car tyre segment.
