Doctors Seek Lower PG Medical Fees in Telangana

The Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association has urged the Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee to reduce tuition fees for postgraduate MD/MS courses under Category-A. They cited a National Medical Commission memorandum stating fees for 50% of seats in private colleges should match government college fees. The association highlighted the significant difference between Category-A MBBS fees and Category-B fees, arguing for affordability for middle-class students based on merit.

हेल्थकेयर रिफॉर्म्स डॉक्टर्स एसोसिएशन ने तेलंगाना एडमिशन एंड फी रेगुलेटरी कमेटी से कैटेगरी-ए के तहत पोस्टग्रेजुएट MD/MS कोर्स की ट्यूशन फीस कम करने की अपील की है। उन्होंने नेशनल मेडिकल कमीशन के एक मेमोरेंडम का हवाला दिया, जिसमें कहा गया है कि प्राइवेट कॉलेजों की 50% सीटों की फीस सरकारी कॉलेजों के बराबर होनी चाहिए। एसोसिएशन ने कैटेगरी-ए MBBS फीस और कैटेगरी-B फीस के बीच बड़े अंतर पर जोर दिया, और मेरिट के आधार पर मध्यम वर्ग के छात्रों के लिए इसे किफायती बनाने की वकालत की।
