Senior advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan has withdrawn from representing clients in cases related to Delhi protests and police action. He cited repeated interruptions and concerns over courtroom decorum during a Supreme Court hearing as reasons for his recusal. Sankaranarayanan was appearing in seven petitions concerning alleged police atrocities, detentions, and restrictions on public movement. He stated that the dignity of the court is more important to him than appearing in these matters. The Supreme Court has issued notices to the central government and Delhi Police on several petitions.

वरिष्ठ वकील गोपाल शंकरनारायणन ने दिल्ली विरोध प्रदर्शनों और पुलिस कार्रवाई से संबंधित मामलों में अपने मुवक्किलों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने से खुद को हटा लिया है। उन्होंने सुप्रीम कोर्ट की सुनवाई के दौरान बार-बार होने वाली रुकावटों और अदालत की गरिमा को लेकर चिंता जताई, जिसे उन्होंने अपने हटने का कारण बताया। शंकरनारायणन कथित पुलिस अत्याचारों, हिरासत और सार्वजनिक आवाजाही पर प्रतिबंधों से संबंधित सात याचिकाओं पर पेश हो रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि इन मामलों में पेश होने से ज्यादा उनके लिए अदालत की गरिमा महत्वपूर्ण है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कई याचिकाओं पर केंद्र सरकार और दिल्ली पुलिस को नोटिस जारी किए हैं।
