Congress Seeks Left Parties' Support For Graduate MLC Polls In Telangana

Times of India · politics

The Congress party in Telangana is seeking support from Left parties, CPI and CPM, for the upcoming elections to two graduates' MLC constituencies. Congress has fielded Sama Rammohan Reddy and Ramreddy Sarvotham Reddy for the Mahbubnagar-Rangareddy-Hyderabad and Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal seats respectively. While Congress views the Left as INDIA bloc partners, the CPM is considering fielding its own candidate, potentially complicating Congress's strategy. The Left parties have not yet finalized their decision, making their stand crucial for Congress's prospects after a recent setback.
