Kashi Ghat Hosts Solemn Ritual For 10,000 Unborn Girls

A poignant ritual was held at Varanasi's Dashashwamedh Ghat on Sunday during Matri Navami, where pind daan and tarpan were performed for 10,000 unborn girls lost to female foeticide. Organized annually by Agaman Samajik Sanstha, the ceremony aims to raise societal awareness about the issue. Led by founder-secretary Santosh Ojha and Vedic priests, the event included prayers and the immersion of offerings in the Ganga. This year's observance also marked prayers for over 1.6 lakh departed unborn daughters nationwide, continuing a 13-year campaign against female foeticide.

रविवार को मातृ नवमी के अवसर पर वाराणसी के दशाश्वमेध घाट पर एक मार्मिक अनुष्ठान आयोजित किया गया, जहाँ कन्या भ्रूण हत्या में खोईं 10,000 अजन्मी बालिकाओं के लिए पिंडदान और तर्पण किया गया। यह आयोजन हर साल अगमन सामाजिक संस्था द्वारा किया जाता है, जिसका उद्देश्य इस मुद्दे पर सामाजिक जागरूकता बढ़ाना है। संस्थापक-सचिव संतोष ओझा और वैदिक पुजारियों के नेतृत्व में हुए इस समारोह में गंगा में प्रसाद चढ़ाकर विसर्जन किया गया। इस वर्ष के अनुष्ठान में कन्या भ्रूण हत्या के खिलाफ 13 साल के अभियान को जारी रखते हुए, देश भर में दिवंगत 1.6 लाख से अधिक अजन्मी बेटियों के लिए भी प्रार्थनाएं की गईं।
