CM Yogi Claims Nehru Didn't Defend 172 Revolutionaries in Chauri Chaura Case

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, stating he did not defend 172 revolutionaries sentenced to death by the British after the Chauri Chaura incident. Adityanath claimed that Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, however, represented the accused and successfully saved 151 of them from the gallows. The CM was speaking at an event where he laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development projects worth ₹288 crore. He also paid tribute to 21 revolutionaries executed in connection with the incident.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने भारत के पहले प्रधानमंत्री जवाहरलाल नेहरू की आलोचना की। उन्होंने कहा कि चौरी-चौरा कांड के बाद अंग्रेजों द्वारा मौत की सज़ा पाए 172 क्रांतिकारियों का नेहरू ने बचाव नहीं किया। आदित्यनाथ ने दावा किया कि पंडित मदन मोहन मालवीय ने आरोपियों का प्रतिनिधित्व किया और उनमें से 151 को फांसी से बचा लिया। मुख्यमंत्री यह बात एक कार्यक्रम में बोल रहे थे, जहाँ उन्होंने ₹288 करोड़ की विकास परियोजनाओं की नींव रखी और उनका उद्घाटन किया। उन्होंने घटना से जुड़े 21 क्रांतिकारियों को भी श्रद्धांजलि दी, जिन्हें फांसी दी गई थी।
