Goa Receives Wettest Post-Monsoon Spell, Rainfall Deficit Significantly Reduced

Goa experienced its wettest post-monsoon spell in 24 hours ending Saturday morning, with a daily average rainfall of 27.1mm. This rainfall has significantly reduced the state's deficit from 75.5% to 57.3%. Heavy showers were recorded in Canacona (101.6mm), with other areas also receiving moderate to light rainfall. Meteorologists suggest a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal could further increase rainfall activity in Goa if it intensifies into a cyclone. The India Meteorological Department forecasts light to moderate rainfall for the next two days.

शनिवार सुबह तक बीते 24 घंटों में गोवा में मॉनसून के बाद की सबसे ज़्यादा बारिश हुई, जिसमें रोज़ाना औसतन 27.1mm बारिश दर्ज की गई। इस बारिश से राज्य का 75.5% का घाटा घटकर 57.3% रह गया है। कानाकोना में 101.6mm भारी बारिश दर्ज की गई, जबकि अन्य इलाकों में भी हल्की से मध्यम बारिश हुई। मौसम वैज्ञानिकों का कहना है कि अगर बंगाल की खाड़ी में बना गहरा दबाव साइक्लोन में बदलता है, तो गोवा में बारिश की गतिविधि और बढ़ सकती है। India Meteorological Department ने अगले दो दिनों तक हल्की से मध्यम बारिश का अनुमान जताया है।
