Deep Depression Causes Heavy Rain in Andhra Pradesh

A deep depression crossed the north coastal Andhra Pradesh coast near Kalingapatnam on Wednesday night, bringing heavy to very heavy rainfall. The system, moving at 55-75 kmph, was located west of Kalingapatnam and north-northeast of Visakhapatnam. It is expected to move northwest and gradually weaken by Friday. Several districts, including Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam, received significant rainfall, with more expected in Vizianagaram and other northern districts on Thursday.
