Khelo Jharkhand U-17 Meet Opens in Ranchi With Over 368 Students

The fifth state-level Khelo Jharkhand U-17 competition has commenced in Ranchi, featuring over 368 students from government schools across the state. Participants will compete in team events including hockey, athletics, kho-kho, volleyball, kabaddi, and football. Jharkhand Education Project Council director Shashi Ranjan inaugurated the games, emphasizing the importance of balancing academics with sports. Officials highlighted concerns regarding the lack of early talent identification, age fraud, doping, and a shortage of quality coaches, stressing their necessity for future international success.

पांचवीं राज्य स्तरीय खेलो झारखंड यू-17 प्रतियोगिता रांची में शुरू हो गई है, जिसमें राज्य भर के सरकारी स्कूलों के 368 से ज़्यादा छात्र भाग ले रहे हैं। प्रतिभागी हॉकी, एथलेटिक्स, खो-खो, वॉलीबॉल, कबड्डी और फुटबॉल जैसे टीम इवेंट्स में मुकाबला करेंगे। झारखंड एजुकेशन प्रोजेक्ट काउंसिल के निदेशक शशि रंजन ने खेल का उद्घाटन किया और पढ़ाई के साथ खेल के महत्व पर जोर दिया। अधिकारियों ने शुरुआती प्रतिभा की पहचान, उम्र की धोखाधड़ी, डोपिंग और अच्छे कोचों की कमी को लेकर चिंता जताई और भविष्य में अंतरराष्ट्रीय सफलता के लिए इनकी ज़रूरत पर बल दिया।
