Four Accused in Jhota Murder Case Produced Before Mohali CBI Court

Four individuals accused in the killing of social activist Parvinder Singh Jhota were presented before a special CBI court in Mohali. Ashwini Kumar, Vipin Garg, and Ladi Singh were remanded to five-day custody, while Neelam Rani was remanded for four days. The CBI took over the investigation earlier this week following demands from Jhota's family for an independent probe. Jhota, an anti-drug abuse campaigner, was shot dead in Mansa after confronting a medical store owner over alleged drug sales.

समाजसेवी परविंदर सिंह झोटा की हत्या के आरोपी चार लोगों को मोहाली की एक विशेष सीबीआई कोर्ट में पेश किया गया। अश्विनी कुमार, विपिन गर्ग और लाडी सिंह को पांच दिन की रिमांड पर भेजा गया, जबकि नीलम रानी को चार दिन की रिमांड पर भेजा गया। सीबीआई ने झोटा के परिवार की स्वतंत्र जांच की मांग के बाद इस सप्ताह की शुरुआत में जांच अपने हाथ में ली थी। नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग के खिलाफ अभियान चलाने वाले झोटा को मंसूर में एक मेडिकल स्टोर के मालिक द्वारा कथित तौर पर नशीली दवाओं की बिक्री का सामना करने के बाद गोली मार दी गई थी।
