Supreme Court Dismisses Plea Against TN Speaker's Decision on AIADMK MLAs

The Supreme Court has refused to hear a petition challenging the Tamil Nadu speaker's decision to accept the AIADMK's request to withdraw disqualification pleas against 21 party legislators. These MLAs had defied party orders and voted for the ruling government's confidence motion. The court stated that when the party itself has condoned the lapse and withdrawn its petitions, an individual who is not even an MLA cannot challenge the speaker's decision.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने AIADMK के 21 विधायकों की अयोग्यता याचिकाओं को वापस लेने के स्पीकर के फैसले को चुनौती देने वाली याचिका पर सुनवाई से इनकार कर दिया है। इन विधायकों ने पार्टी के आदेशों का उल्लंघन किया था और सत्तारूढ़ सरकार के विश्वास मत के पक्ष में मतदान किया था। अदालत ने कहा कि जब पार्टी ने खुद ही चूक को माफ कर दिया है और अपनी याचिकाएं वापस ले ली हैं, तो कोई ऐसा व्यक्ति जो विधायक भी नहीं है, वह स्पीकर के फैसले को चुनौती नहीं दे सकता।
