हैती की राजधानी के पास केन्सकॉफ में सशस्त्र गिरोहों ने हमला कर दिया। इस हमले में कम से कम 47 लोगों की मौत हो गई और 50 से ज़्यादा लोगों को अगवा कर लिया गया। संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने सप्ताहांत के इस हमले के बाद हताहतों की पुष्टि की है। एक गिरोह सरगना ने धमकी दी है कि अगर बचाव के दौरान किसी भी गिरोह सदस्य को नुकसान पहुँचाया गया तो वह बंधकों को मार देगा। हिंसा के दौरान घरों में आग भी लगा दी गई।
