Cyclone Arnab Disrupts Odisha Rail Services; 9 Trains Cancelled, 14 Diverted

Cyclone Arnab has significantly disrupted rail services along the Howrah-Chennai route in Odisha's Ganjam district. Nine trains were cancelled, and fourteen were diverted due to the Bahuda river crossing the danger mark at two railway bridges. Heavy rainfall, measuring 550mm, caused the river's water level to rise sharply. Major cancelled trains include the Vande Bharat Express and the Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam Intercity Express. Railway officials are monitoring the situation and will restore services once the water recedes and the section is deemed safe.

चक्रवात अर्नाब ने ओडिशा के गंजाम जिले में हावड़ा-चेन्नई मार्ग पर रेल सेवाओं को काफी बाधित कर दिया है। बहुरंगी नदी के दो रेलवे पुलों पर खतरे के निशान को पार करने के कारण नौ ट्रेनों को रद्द कर दिया गया और चौदह को डायवर्ट कर दिया गया। 550 मिमी बारिश के कारण नदी का जलस्तर तेजी से बढ़ गया। रद्द की गई प्रमुख ट्रेनों में वंदे भारत एक्सप्रेस और भुवनेश्वर-विशाखापत्तनम इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस शामिल हैं। रेलवे अधिकारी स्थिति की निगरानी कर रहे हैं और पानी कम होने और खंड सुरक्षित घोषित होने पर सेवाएं बहाल कर देंगे।
