New Wild Cat Species Discovered in Bolivia

A new species of wild cat, previously confused with other felines due to similar markings, has been identified in Bolivia. DNA studies confirmed the small, spotted cat, about the size of a domestic cat, is a distinct species. Scientists hope this discovery will raise awareness for the conservation of tiger cats, a group of small wild cats in South and Central America that often receive less attention than larger wild cats.
