UP Schools Closed Up To Class 12 Today On Election Commission Orders

Schools across 73 of Uttar Pradesh's 75 districts were closed for students up to Class 12 on October 23. This holiday was declared on the Election Commission's orders to facilitate the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council Block Teacher and Block Graduate elections. Voting is scheduled for 11 MLC seats across five graduate and six teacher constituencies. A total of 1.418 million voters will cast their ballots for 152 candidates.

उत्तर प्रदेश के 75 में से 73 जिलों में छात्रों के लिए 23 अक्टूबर को 12वीं कक्षा तक के स्कूल बंद रहे। उत्तर प्रदेश विधान परिषद ब्लॉक शिक्षक और ब्लॉक स्नातक चुनावों की सुविधा के लिए चुनाव आयोग के आदेश पर यह छुट्टी घोषित की गई थी। मतदान पांच स्नातक और छह शिक्षक निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में 11 एमएलसी सीटों के लिए निर्धारित है। कुल 1.418 मिलियन मतदाता 152 उम्मीदवारों के लिए मतदान करेंगे।
