Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi failed to make a significant impact in his return to India's playing XI during the second T20I against New Zealand in Christchurch. He managed only four runs off eight deliveries before being dismissed, leaving India in a difficult position during their chase. New Zealand had earlier posted 180/5 in their 20 overs. India struggled at 83/5 after 12 overs, with Sooryavanshi and Shreyas Iyer among those falling. The youngster's opportunity arose after Ishan Kishan was ruled out due to injury.
