Delhi NCR: 50% Work From Home Mandated, Construction Banned

Authorities have imposed a 50% work-from-home mandate for government and private offices in five Delhi-NCR districts, including Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar. This measure, effective for 15 days, also includes a complete ban on construction and demolition activities to combat rising air pollution levels. Essential services and industrial units in these high-vehicle-density areas are exempt. This action is part of broader efforts to mitigate the annual surge in pollution during November.

दिल्ली-एनसीआर के पांच जिलों, जिनमें गुरुग्राम, फरीदाबाद, सोनीपत, गाजियाबाद और गौतम बुद्ध नगर शामिल हैं, में सरकारी और निजी दफ्तरों के लिए 50% वर्क फ्रॉम होम का आदेश जारी किया गया है। यह नियम 15 दिनों के लिए लागू होगा और बढ़ते वायु प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिए निर्माण और तोड़फोड़ की गतिविधियों पर भी पूरी तरह से रोक लगा दी गई है। इन इलाकों में जहां गाड़ियों का घनत्व ज्यादा है, वहां जरूरी सेवाओं और औद्योगिक इकाइयों को छूट दी गई है। यह कदम नवंबर के दौरान प्रदूषण में होने वाली सालाना बढ़ोतरी को कम करने के व्यापक प्रयासों का हिस्सा है।
