Kerala Collector Orders Evacuation After Akkulam Road Collapse

Thiruvananthapuram District Collector Anju K S has ordered the immediate evacuation of residents from the PRS Lake Ville apartment complex in Akkulam following a major mudslide. Construction at the nearby Good Shepherd School has also been halted. The landslide, caused by unscientific excavation for a new school building, led to a road collapse of approximately 50 meters in length and 15 meters in depth. The school management is directed to provide temporary accommodation for affected families and address safety concerns before construction can resume.

तिरुवनंतपुरम की जिला कलेक्टर अंजू के एस ने एक बड़ी भूस्खलन के बाद अक्कुलम में पीआरएस लेक विले अपार्टमेंट कॉम्प्लेक्स के निवासियों को तत्काल खाली कराने का आदेश दिया है। पास के गुड शेफर्ड स्कूल में निर्माण कार्य भी रोक दिया गया है। एक नए स्कूल भवन के लिए अवैज्ञानिक खुदाई के कारण हुई भूस्खलन से लगभग 50 मीटर लंबी और 15 मीटर गहरी सड़क धंस गई। स्कूल प्रबंधन को प्रभावित परिवारों के लिए अस्थायी आवास प्रदान करने और निर्माण फिर से शुरू होने से पहले सुरक्षा चिंताओं को दूर करने का निर्देश दिया गया है।
