Actress Radhika Apte has explained the challenges faced by women-led films in Hindi cinema, stating that actresses are often compelled to choose male-led projects for theatrical releases due to box office uncertainties. She believes only top stars like Alia Bhatt or Deepika Padukone can draw audiences to cinemas independently. Apte mentioned that the medium of release, whether theatrical or OTT, does not influence her project selection. She is currently promoting her series ‘Akka’, which premieres on Netflix on October 30.
