State-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) announced a significant 57.3% year-on-year increase in its standalone net profit for the September quarter. The company reported a net profit of Rs 15,488.6 crore, a substantial rise from Rs 9,847.9 crore in the same period last year. This impressive growth was primarily driven by higher realisations from crude oil and natural gas sales. Despite a decline in production volumes, the improved pricing of commodities significantly boosted ONGC's financial performance.
