Tulshi Village Gets Hope With 18 Recharge Lakes After 'For Sale' Protest

Residents of Tulshi village, facing severe water scarcity, announced their settlement was "up for sale" due to government apathy and lack of pipelines from a nearby irrigation project. Veteran geologist Suresh Khanapurkar, known for the "Shirpur pattern" of groundwater conservation, is now leading an initiative to build 18 percolation lakes. These lakes are expected to capture rainwater and allow it to seep into the ground, permanently resolving the village's water issues.
