Economic Times · stocks
GAIL India reported a significant surge in its September quarter net profit, more than doubling to ₹4,650 crore from ₹2,217 crore in the previous year. This impressive growth was driven by heightened gas marketing margins due to global energy supply disruptions, particularly from the West Asia crisis. Revenue from operations also saw a substantial 31% year-on-year increase, reaching ₹45,924 crore. The company's board also approved the potential listing of its subsidiary, GAIL Gas, by diluting up to 25% of its stake.
