DGCA Checks SpiceJet Operations and Finances

Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu stated that the DGCA is conducting operational and financial checks on SpiceJet to prevent passenger inconvenience and ensure safety. The airline's domestic market share has declined significantly, dropping to 1.6% in July. Naidu emphasized the ministry's limited intervention capacity in private airlines but confirmed SpiceJet received Rs 150 crore under the ECLGS scheme to address issues, including salary delays and operational problems.
