Graphic design platform Canva has announced its first large-scale layoffs, impacting approximately 22% of its workforce, which amounts to 1,271 employees. The company cited increasing costs of artificial intelligence and automation as reasons for the restructuring. In a unique severance package, affected employees will receive a free MacBook, six months of salary, and a year of LinkedIn Premium.
