The Bank of Russia has no intention of maintaining its key interest rate at a level that the economy cannot sustain for an extended period. Central Bank chief Elvira Nabiullina stated that the bank plans to ease its monetary policy. This easing will occur through lowering the key rate, aligning with the bank's established inflation-targeting policy.
