Ludhiana Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma has transferred Inspector Vijay Kumar, SHO of Dehlon, to police lines for allegedly delaying action against three men impersonating police personnel. The incident involved the three men being caught consuming drugs and thrashed by locals before being handed over to the police. A video of the incident went viral on social media. A departmental inquiry has also been ordered against the SHO, with further action pending the probe's completion. The accused have been booked under the NDPS Act.
