Meta employees admitted in internal communications that restrictions negatively impacted Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's Instagram accounts during the country's election. The messages reportedly also indicated that the platform recommended the profile of challenger Flavio Bolsonaro and his WhatsApp channel. These revelations emerged from messages reviewed by newspaper Folha de S.Paulo. Meta has not yet responded to a request for comment regarding these internal discussions.
