Vance previously campaigned for a foreign leader, Viktor Orban in Hungary, before his party lost. His stance diverges from Trump's endorsement at a time of rising antisemitism concerns and complex US-Israel relations. Vance has also previously criticized elements of Netanyahu's government regarding the war with Iran.
