TDP Alleges YSRCP Distorting Supreme Court Order On Andhra Pradesh ULB Elections

TDP has accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of misrepresenting a Supreme Court order concerning local body elections in Andhra Pradesh. TDP legal cell president Posani Venkateswarlu stated that the Supreme Court empowered the State Election Commission (SEC) to decide on granting extra time for nominations based on merit, not reprimanded the SEC as claimed by YSRCP. The apex court directed the SEC to independently assess complaints of nomination filing disruptions and grant a fresh opportunity if disturbances were confirmed.

टीडीपी ने वाईएसआर कांग्रेस पार्टी (YSRCP) पर आंध्र प्रदेश में स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों को लेकर सुप्रीम कोर्ट के आदेश को गलत तरीके से पेश करने का आरोप लगाया है। टीडीपी लीगल सेल के अध्यक्ष पोसानी वेंकटेश्वरुलु ने कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने राज्य चुनाव आयोग (SEC) को योग्यता के आधार पर नामांकन के लिए अतिरिक्त समय देने का फैसला करने का अधिकार दिया है, न कि जैसा कि YSRCP ने दावा किया है, SEC को फटकार लगाई है। शीर्ष अदालत ने SEC को नामांकन दाखिल करने में बाधाओं की शिकायतों का स्वतंत्र रूप से आकलन करने और यदि गड़बड़ी की पुष्टि होती है तो एक नया अवसर देने का निर्देश दिया है।
