TV9 Hindi · world

A recent report reveals that nearly half of Bangladeshi families are taking on debt to cover daily expenses due to rising inflation and stagnant incomes. The average monthly income of a family is 33,513 taka, while average expenses reach 35,311 taka, resulting in a deficit of 1,798 taka. This financial pressure is more pronounced in rural areas, where 51.91% of families borrowed for basic needs. Experts attribute this to persistent inflation, weak economic growth, and declining real wages, with poverty rates projected to increase.
