Five Family Members Drown in River During Ritual

A tragic incident occurred in Jhansi district, Uttar Pradesh, where five members of the same family drowned in the Sukhnai river. The family had gone to the riverbank to perform the Pind Daan ritual after completing Shradh rituals. While bathing and performing the rituals, five individuals went into deep water and lost their lives. Police and administration teams arrived at the scene and initiated a rescue operation. The bodies were recovered and sent for post-mortem. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the village and surrounding areas.
